 nd dinner and we have a fantastic programme of speakers. After a two-year 
 hiatus\, the event is a great opportunity to network and re-connect with c

 sabelle Mitchell - Isabelle has extensive experience working on public inq
 uiries and investigations and has acted as Solicitors to the Inquiry. She 
 has acting both for the inquiry and also core participants including in re
 lation to the Inquiry into Telford Child Sexual Exploitation\, Grenfell To
 wer Inquiry\, Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse and Leveson Inqu
 iry (phone hacking).\nSophie Cartwright QC\, Deans Court Chambers\nSophie 
 Cartwright QC specialises in inquests\, public inquiries\, public law\, he
 alth and safety\, regulatory and disciplinary proceedings. Sophie is Coun
 sel to the Manchester Arena Inquiry. She previously served as Counsel to t
 he Anthony Grainger Inquiry. She regularly acts as Counsel for the Corone
 r at complex Inquests and this has included assisting in the management of
  the process of conversion of inquests to inquiry.  Sophie sits as a Reco
 rder in the Crown Court and as an Assistant Coroner.\n\nIsabelle Mitchell 
 of Eversheds Sutherland and Sophie Cartwright QC\, Assistant Coroner and R
 ecorder\, who will discuss the interplay between inquests and inquiries\; 
 in particular the questions surrounding when Article 2 inquests may be con
 verted to inquiries\, the mechanisms for both statutory and non-statutory 
 inquiries\, and the similarities and differences between the two processes
 .\n\nThe session will also cover the forthcoming COVID-19 Public Inquiry\;
  how it has been established\, the responsibilities of the Chair\, and que

 ld\n\nPhilip White\, Director of Regulation\, Health and Safety Executive\
 n\nHSE Director (Regulation)\, Philip White\, will speak about the new HSE
  strategy and one of its key objectives around health including work relat
 ed mental health and stress. He will also touch upon other HSE priorities 
 including the drive for net zero\, HSE’s new responsibilities around bui
 lding safety and the changes to the way the HSE will deal with prosecution

  and A\n\nAmy Sadro of Eversheds Sutherland will chair a panel discussion 
 with:\n\nHHJ Mark Lucraft QC\, former Chief Coroner and current Recorder o
 f London\n\nPriscilla Addo-Quaye\, Addleshaw Goddard\n\nPriscilla Addo-Qua
 ye - Priscilla is experienced representing clients at inquests in the Coro
 ner's Court following workplace fatalities.  Priscilla has also attained 
 particular expertise working on Public Inquiries established to investigat
 e matters of public concern.  Priscilla is responsible for the co-ordinat
 ion of the firm's representation of three bereaved families in the Manches
 ter Arena Public Inquiry (which was initially undertaken by the Firm pro b
 ono)  as well acting in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.\n\nHelen Boniface\, H
 ogan Lovells\n\nGerard Forlin QC\, Cornerstone Barristers\n\nGerard Forlin
  QC - Gerard has appeared in many Inquests (jury and non-jury) and Inquiri
 es both in the UK and abroad\, acting for many individuals and families as
  well as corporates and central/local government bodies. He is instructed 
 in a number of pending Inquests on behalf of families including the majori
 ty of the families in the Shoreham Air Crash Disaster Inquest. He also act
 ed for the families as an Interested Party in the widely reported Division
 al Court case of HM Senior Coroner for West Sussex v Chief Constable of Su
 ssex Police and others [2022] EWHC 215 (QB)\, arising from the Shoreham In
 quest\, before The President of the Queen’s Bench Division and Mr Justic
 e Saini. The judgment sets out a number of important rulings relevant to I
 nquests (and Global Aviation).\n\nA panel session exploring the complexiti
 es of representing bereaved families at Inquests and Inquiries\, managing 
 expectations and competing interests and whether the Inquest and Inquiry p
