 deeply personal experience in working to secure accountability and systemi
 c change in the NHS and government following the loss of his son\, Matthew
 \, in 2020 during a mental health crisis.\n\nHis experience highlights how
  vital it is to balance the legal requirements of an investigation with cl
 ear\, humane and empathetic communication with families.\nTo understand mo

 an do better.\nSpeaker:\nRichard Caseby\n\n\nRichard is former Managing Ed
 itor of The Sunday Times and was a board director of Times Newspapers Ltd 
 for over a decade.\n\nHe led teams of lawyers during the worst corporate c
 risis in News Corporation history\, was a consultant to the Director of th
 e Serious Fraud Office and both Houses of Parliament and has given evidenc
 e in person to select committees and other government inquiries.\n\nAs Dir
 ector of Communications for Whitehall’s largest department\, the DWP\, R
 ichard led national policy campaigns for five Secretaries of State.\n\nHe 
 later worked as Middle East Communications Consultant for the UK Prime Min
 ister’s Office and Cabinet Office\, advising ministers and Royal Offices
  in Jordan and Oman.\nTim Toulmin\n\n\nTim founded Alder 15 years ago and 
 provides strategic communications support across a wide range of complex i
 ssues\, including sudden incidents and fatalities\, criminal investigation
 s and trials\, civil litigation\, inquests\, employment disputes\, and EDI
 -related concerns.\n\nBefore founding Alder\, Tim was Director of the Pres
 s Complaints Commission\, where he dealt daily with the media\, government
  and senior lawyers on matters of press regulation\, privacy and ethics.\n
 \nHe serves as a trustee of several educational and campaigning organisati
