 ard speaks as a parent and draws on his deeply personal experience in work
 ing to secure accountability and systemic change in the NHS and government
  following the loss of his son\, Matthew\, in 2020 during a mental health 
 crisis.\n\nHis experience highlights how vital it is to balance the legal 
 requirements of an investigation with clear\, humane and empathetic commun
 ication with families.\n\nTo understand more about Matthew’s story\, you

 over:\n•    The NHS Trust's handling of the initial news of death\;\n
 •    The Priory's Serious Incident Report\;\n•    His own investig

 of my legal team v the Priory: expert witness challenge\, jury conclusion 
 options and PFD\;\n•    His push for criminal prosecution and how he s

 th bodies can do better.\nSpeaker:\nRichard Caseby\n\n\nRichard is former 
 Managing Editor of The Sunday Times and was a board director of Times News
 papers Ltd for over a decade.\n\nHe led teams of lawyers during the worst 
 corporate crisis in News Corporation history\, was a consultant to the Dir
 ector of the Serious Fraud Office and both Houses of Parliament and has gi
 ven evidence in person to select committees and other government inquiries
 .\n\nAs Director of Communications for Whitehall’s largest department\, 
 the DWP\, Richard led national policy campaigns for five Secretaries of St
 ate. He later worked as Middle East Communications Consultant for the UK P
 rime Minister’s Office and Cabinet Office\, advising ministers and Royal
  Offices in Jordan and Oman.\nHost:\nTim Toulmin\nTim founded Alder 15 yea
 rs ago and provides strategic communications support across a wide range o
 f complex issues\, including sudden incidents and fatalities\, criminal in
 vestigations and trials\, civil litigation\, inquests\, employment dispute
 s\, and EDI-related concerns.\n\nBefore founding Alder\, Tim was Director 
 of the Press Complaints Commission\, where he dealt daily with the media\,
  government and senior lawyers on matters of press regulation\, privacy an
 d ethics.\n\nHe serves as a trustee of several educational and campaigning
