 sful lecture given at Middle Temple in February.\n\nThe application of the
  Sentencing Council’s Guideline regarding harm appears to be a difficult
  area for both Judges and lawyers.\n\nThis presentation will consider the 
 case law and how to approach the following:\n\n 	The seriousness of harm r
 isked by the offender’s breach\n 	The likelihood of that harm arising\n 
 	Whether the offence exposed a number of workers or members of the public 
 to the risk of harm\n 	Whether the offence was a significant cause of actu
 al harm\n\nThe speakers\n\nJames Ageros QC works exclusively in Health and
  Safety and Environmental Law practising from Crown Office Chambers. He co
 -authors the book Health and Safety Enforcement and Law and Practice with 
 Richard Matthews Q.C. He prosecutes and defends in health and safety cases
