Special Resolution
It is resolved that due to the current pandemic within the UK and the practical and organisational issues arising, the HSLA Rules relating to the term of HSLA officers and the holding of its AGM for 2020 should be amended to provide for the following:
That the Special General Meeting to consider this resolution and the Annual General Meeting for 2020 take place electronically.
That the terms of the following officers due to expire in 2020 should be extended until an AGM to be held no later than 15 December 2021:
Chair
Vice Chair
Secretary
Treasurer
That the terms of all other HSLA Officer roles due for re-election in 2021 be extended until an AGM to be held no later than 15 December 2022
That the Notice of the Special General Meeting be considered as Notice for the AGM of 2020 and that the Notice period under the HSLA Rules be amended accordingly.
In the event that this Special Resolution is not carried it is resolved in the alternative that:
The rules of the HSLA be varied insofar as is necessary to permit the HSLA AGM of 2020 to be held no later than 31 March 2021.
