HSLA is pleased to invite members to an address by Sir Colman Treacy, former Chairman of the Sentencing Council, at Henderson Chambers at 6pm on Thursday 17 October.   

The evening will be made up of two short seminars: 

  • The Development of the Sentencing Guidelines for health and safety offences, corporate manslaughter and gross negligence manslaughter” by Sir Colman Treacy.
  • Trends in the application of the Sentencing Guidelines” by Oliver Campbell QC. 

Sir Colman Treacy was a Court of Appeal judge and a former Chair of the Sentencing Council. He will speak about his views on health & safety and environmental sentencing guidelines and their purpose.

Oliver Campbell QC specialises in health & safety, product liability, environment and regulatory claims. His work in those areas encompasses group actions, inquests and inquiries as well as prosecutions.  For the last decade, he has been engaged in many of the most significant cases in those fields.

Free to HSLA members. Non members can join HSLA and attend the event free.
