 \, HCR Law\n\nShort Biography\nBen Williams\n\nBen practises in both regul
 atory and general crime. He has extensive trial experience across a range 
 of matters involving technical and expert evidence\, handling difficult wi
 tnesses of fact and addressing complex legal and procedural arguments. Rec
 ent Health &amp\; Safety work includes prosecuting and defending workplace
  fatalities\, involving issues such as falls from height\; traffic managem
 ent\; demolition work\; responsibilities to and for sub-contractors\; corp
 orate liability for instructions of senior employees and managers\, and pe
 rsonal liability of directors. His appellate experience includes leading a
 uthorities on the admissibility of evidence and judicial procedural obliga
 tions.\n\nBen is ranked as a Tier 1 Leading Junior for both Crime and Busi
 ness &amp\; Regulatory in the Legal 500 2025 and is recommended in Chamber
 s 2025 in both Crime and Health &amp\; Safety. He is on the Attorney Gener
 al’s List of Specialist Regulatory Advocates in Health and Safety and En
 vironmental Law\, in Band A.\n\nDr Dan Jacklin\n\nDan regularly appears be
 fore the Magistrates Court and Crown Court on behalf of prosecuting author
 ities and defendants. As a specialist fellow of the International Institut
 e of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and with eight years’ experience
  as an expert witness for health and safety\, he brings a unique perspecti
 ve to cases which turn on expert evidence.\n\nCaroline Depledge – Senior
  Associate at DWF\n\nCaroline is an experienced specialist regulatory prac
 titioner advising companies\, local authorities\, NHS Trusts\, directors a
 nd individuals on all aspects of regulatory compliance across a range of s
 ectors including manufacturing\, construction\, retail\, food\, film\, hos
 pitality and the public sector.\n\nSpecialising in both contentious and no
 n-contentious Health and Safety\, Caroline has a wealth of experience gain
 ed over the last 10 years. Her experience includes investigations and pros
 ecutions across a broad spectrum of areas including health and safety\; co
 rporate and gross negligence manslaughter\; inquests\; fire safety\; envir
 onmental matters\; waste management\; transport\; stunt performance and fo
 od safety.\n\nSophie McCormick – Associate at HCR Law\n\nSophie advises 
 on a range of regulatory matters\, dealing with all aspects of health\, sa
 fety and environmental defence\, coroner’s inquests\, safeguarding advic
 e\, and driving and transport matters.\n\nSophie acts for both individuals
  and companies\; from directors and managers to companies in high-risk sec
 tors such as construction\, waste and manufacturing. Sophie supports busin
 esses and individuals through a range of crisis events\, including serious
