 Short Biography\nBen Williams\n\nBen practises in both regulatory and gene
 ral crime. He has extensive trial experience across a range of matters inv
 olving technical and expert evidence\, handling difficult witnesses of fac
 t and addressing complex legal and procedural arguments. Recent Health &am
 p\; Safety work includes prosecuting and defending workplace fatalities\, 
 involving issues such as falls from height\; traffic management\; demoliti
 on work\; responsibilities to and for sub-contractors\; corporate liabilit
 y for instructions of senior employees and managers\, and personal liabili
 ty of directors. His appellate experience includes leading authorities on 
 the admissibility of evidence and judicial procedural obligations.\n\nBen 
 is ranked as a Tier 1 Leading Junior for both Crime and Business &amp\; Re
 gulatory in the Legal 500 2025 and is recommended in Chambers 2025 in both
  Crime and Health &amp\; Safety. He is on the Attorney General’s List of
  Specialist Regulatory Advocates in Health and Safety and Environmental La
 w\, in Band A.\n\nDr Dan Jacklin\n\nDan regularly appears before the Magis
 trates Court and Crown Court on behalf of prosecuting authorities and defe
 ndants. As a specialist fellow of the International Institute of Risk and 
 Safety Management (IIRSM) and with eight years’ experience as an expert 
 witness for health and safety\, he brings a unique perspective to cases wh
 ich turn on expert evidence.\n\nCaroline Depledge – Senior Associate at 
 DWF\n\nCaroline is an experienced specialist regulatory practitioner advis
 ing companies\, local authorities\, NHS Trusts\, directors and individuals
  on all aspects of regulatory compliance across a range of sectors includi
 ng manufacturing\, construction\, retail\, food\, film\, hospitality and t
 he public sector.\n\nSpecialising in both contentious and non-contentious 
 Health and Safety\, Caroline has a wealth of experience gained over the la
 st 10 years. Her experience includes investigations and prosecutions acros
 s a broad spectrum of areas including health and safety\; corporate and gr
 oss negligence manslaughter\; inquests\; fire safety\; environmental matte
 rs\; waste management\; transport\; stunt performance and food safety.\n\n
 Sophie McCormick – Associate at HCR Law\n\nSophie advises on a range of 
 regulatory matters\, dealing with all aspects of health\, safety and envir
 onmental defence\, coroner’s inquests\, safeguarding advice\, and drivin
 g and transport matters.\n\nSophie acts for both individuals and companies
 \; from directors and managers to companies in high-risk sectors such as c
 onstruction\, waste and manufacturing. Sophie supports businesses and indi
 viduals through a range of crisis events\, including serious and fatal acc
