DESCRIPTION:This webinar will examine the reality of practising Health & \; Safety law.  It will provide an introduction to the law\, including th e core legislation\, and the concepts of risk\, reasonable practicability and the reverse burden of proof.  It will also cover the HSE’s enforcem ent strategy\, the powers of the regulator and the Sentencing Guidelines w hich apply to defendants that have been convicted of Health &\; Safety offences.\n\nThis is the first time that HSLA has hosted a webinar and we hope it will be a success.  It is particularly appropriate for those rela tively new to practicing in Health &\; Safety law but it is also a usef ul summary for more experienced practitioners. On this occasion HSLA membe rs are asked to inform their non-member colleagues about it and non-member s are encouraged to attend.
