Compass Chambers is delighted to host members of the Health and Safety Lawyers’ Association on Thursday 26 March 2026 for an evening of discussion and networking in the Reading Room of the Advocates Library, Parliament House, Edinburgh.
The topic, “Strategies for managing a health and safety investigation – from investigation to court”, will be introduced by Katherine Metcalfe, Partner, Pinsent Masons LLP, and Gavin Anderson K.C., Compass Chambers, leading into a panel discussion with:
• Amy Sadro, Adura Energy Limited and Chair of HSLA
• Richard Brown, Principal Procurator Fiscal Depute, Crown Office
• Hannah Beaumont, Pinsent Masons LLP
• Murdo Macleod K.C., Compass Chambers
Note: To ensure free flowing discussion Chatham House Rules will apply.
The event will attract 1 hour CPD.
After the discussion there will be an opportunity to network with colleagues and, for those interested, a tour of the Advocates Library will be available in small groups. Not generally open to the public, the Advocates Library dates back to 1689 and is generally considered to be one of the finest working law libraries in the world.
