An Essential Guide to Expert Evidence

Expert evidence can play a seminal part in proceedings for health and safety, environmental, food safety, nuisance, product safety, and other regulatory offences. However, a number of recent well publicised cases in this field have run into difficulties because of short-comings with the expert evidence relied upon.

This seminar will provide regulatory practitioners, both new and seasoned alike, with an essential update on the why, when, and how expert evidence is admissible. It will also provide real life case studies of the successful admission of expert evidence, and examples of when expert evidence has been ruled inadmissible with significant consequences.
